School

As Product Designer, I collaborated with directors, teachers, and parents, to redesign their site using the Double-Diamond Design Method. My research showed that the existing site did not reflect the current students, and it did not meet the needs of time-starved caregivers. The new, web-responsive design features simple interfaces and best practices, ensuring an intuitive experience.

About the Project

As the Product Designer, I led the redesign process, utilizing the Double-Diamond design methodology. This approach allowed me to gain deep insights into the needs of key stakeholders, including the preschool’s director, teachers, parents, and caregivers.

Through collaboration with caregivers and stakeholders, I built empathy for their unique challenges and needs, ensuring the design spoke to their concerns and desires.

I developed a new, vibrant color palette that captured the warmth and welcoming nature of the preschool environment. I also updated the site’s imagery to reflect the diversity of families and the inclusive, nurturing environment.

I tested the design for accessibility, ensuring all users, including those with disabilities, could navigate the site easily. I also redesigned the user flow and site map, focusing on simpler navigation and easy access to important information.

The design acknowledged the diversity of the preschool’s families, incorporating images and content that allowed potential clients to envision their own children in the school setting.

To further build trust with prospective clients, I included endorsements from families, showcasing positive experiences and encouraging others to choose Aldersgate Preschool.

The final prototype was web-responsive, ensuring seamless functionality across devices, from desktops to mobile phones.

The redesigned website provides an intuitive and visually appealing experience for users. It allows families to easily find important information, connects them with the preschool’s community, and offers a fresh, professional look that highlights the warmth and inclusivity of the school.
