Hi, I’m Gini. I’m a Product Designer based in Central PA with over two years of experience in UX/UI design, and a background of 10+ years in problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership. I specialize in creating user-centered solutions that deliver tangible results, blending both UX and UI design to create seamless, intuitive experiences.
Currently, I’m focused on several exciting freelance projects. Prior to this, I had the privilege of working as a UX Designer at a woman-owned start-up, where I partnered closely with the CEO on a research and design project. My expertise in UX research, persona development, and UI design helped bring the concept forward into a working prototype, aligning the project with the company’s values and objectives.
As an adaptive, creative, and endlessly-curious designer, I craft elegant solutions that meet client needs while maintaining a high standard of usability. I love connecting with clients to understand their goals, frustrations, and motivations. My inviting, relaxed, and professional approach ensures that clients feel comfortable and confident in sharing insights that help guide the design process. With an empathetic nature and a focus on User-Centered Design, I advocate for my clients, ensuring their needs are always at the heart of the solution.
I hold a UX/UI Professional Certification from McCombs School of Business and the University of Texas at Austin, which deepened my understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices. With experience in Figma, logo design, web design, brand design, WordPress, and Elementor, I bring a diverse skill set to every project. I’m also a culturally fluent researcher and designer, driven by a passion for creating solutions that are not only innovative but also meaningful to the end-user.
I’ve had the opportunity to lead impactful projects that delivered measurable results:
- Clinical Practice Website: Designed a web-responsive site that helped a new clinical practice bring in 2-3 new clients weekly, ensuring a full schedule and improved SEO. By simplifying the client enrollment process and incorporating QR codes for easy scheduling, the platform also integrated social proof to build trust with potential clients.
- Educational Organization Website Redesign: I redesigned a website for a preschool, streamlining the user experience and making it easier for prospective students to enroll. The redesign led to a 35% increase in user interaction, contributing to a more efficient and engaging online presence.
I spent much of my early career in education, where I developed strong communication and leadership skills. I left teaching to care for my preemie and to support my husband while he served overseas in the United States Army. Over the years, I’ve balanced my career with family life. For many years, I had the privilege to stay at home and care for our amazing children who continue to grow in their independence and creativity.
As a proud Army spouse, I’ve developed a strong sense of adaptability, leadership, and resilience, all of which I bring into my work as a designer. These experiences have shaped my approach to design—empathetic, communicative, and always centered on delivering the best possible user experience.
