User-Centered Design
Summary
Aldersgate Preschool provides families with high quality preschool education in a Christian environment. The organization strives to meet the spiritual, mental, physical, emotional and social developmental needs of preschooler children.
The business need
Aldersgate Preschool needed a redesigned website to meet the updated needs of the families that it serves.
The solution
I worked closely with the director, teachers, parents and caregivers to create a site that delighted and informed users. I followed the double-diamond design method to determine the needs of the clients. I provided simple interfaces based on best practices and some competitive analysis. I designed a prototype that I will refer to as I build the site and deploy it to their existing hosting. My design is web-responsive.
Brand & Website Launch
Challenge
Discover Pelvic Health & Wellness was a new physical therapy practice that needed to build trust and awareness as it launched. The owner wanted to reconnect with existing clients while reaching prospective patients, including busy soon-to-be mothers and women ages 40–60. The website needed to make care feel approachable, supportive, and easy to access for people managing demanding schedules.
Work completed
I conducted stakeholder and user research to understand the practice’s audience, goals, and barriers to accessing care. I created user personas, developed wireframes and responsive prototypes, and wrote website content to support a clear, patient-centered experience.
I designed the website’s visual direction using a calm, spa-like palette and welcoming graphics to convey comfort and trust. I also organized information and navigation so users could quickly understand the practice, explore services, and take the next step toward care.
Outcome
The resulting responsive website concept gave the new practice a professional, reassuring digital presence designed around the needs of busy patients. The clear structure, accessible content, and calming visual approach helped communicate the practice’s personalized, supportive approach to pelvic health care.
Website Content and Navigation Refresh
Challenge: The organization needed a polished, welcoming website experience that could clearly support dancers, parents, patrons, and prospective students.
Work completed: I designed and built a responsive WordPress website, reorganizing program content and creating clearer paths to registration, performances, and ways to support the organization.
Status: The completed site is hosted privately and ready to connect to the studio’s domain when needed, but it has not been publicly launched.

This stage includes usability and SEO assessments, accessibility checks, and a technical performance review. You’ll receive a simple summary of findings with thoughtful explanations—helping you see where your site shines and where it could connect more deeply with your audience.
Week 4-6: Strategy & Implementation Roadmap
Once the insights are clear, we refine and prioritize next steps together. By the end of week six, you’ll walk away with a clear, purpose-driven action plan designed to strengthen your online presence, support your business goals, and deliver a smooth, engaging experience that feels true to your brand.
Do you make the changes for me?
Website Audits & Action Plans are strategy and guidance only. You’ll receive clear, prioritized recommendations, but implementation is not included. You can make the updates yourself, share the plan with your developer, or reach out to Gini Freeman Design when you are ready to discuss support with implementation.
How long does the audit take?
Most audits are completed within 7 -14 business days after I receive access to the information needed to review your site. Larger or more complex websites may take longer, and I’ll confirm the expected timeline before we begin.
What platform do you work with?
Audits can be completed for most website platforms, including WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, and custom-built websites. Because the audit focuses on your visitor experience, content, visibility, and overall website performance, you do not need to be on a specific platform to get useful recommendations.
